2   Link   Below the Medicine Line Society
The old term "medicine line" was once used by fleeing native people into what was a safety net into bordering and neighboring tribes of "the Queen's or Grandmother's Land". For others, it simply became a boundary that banished one from their homeland and relatives.

Though economics may have been the original historic goal, the using of natives and mixed-bloods as a means to an end resulted in not only relocation of Metis families but also dissimilation of our culture.
3   Link   Congress of Aborginal Peoples
Our primary goal at CAP On-line is to provide you with information you're seeking about the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, and its activities, programs and services. It's all about offering you the information you need to learn more about us, and the off-reserve Status, Non-Status, and Metis constituency.

We also seek to provide you with information you're unlikely to find anywhere else about Aboriginal peoples across Canada who live away from Indian Act reserves, whether in urban, rural or remote locations. In addition to offering information on our affiliate organizations across Canada, we also supply virtually hundreds of links to other Aboriginal sites.
4   Link   Metis National Council
Since 1983, the MNC has represented the Metis Nation nationally and internationally. It receives its mandate and direction from the democratically elected leadership of the Metis Nation's governments from Ontario westward. Specifically, the MNC reflects and moves forward on the desires and aspirations of these Metis governments at a national and international level.

Overall, the MNC's central goal is to secure a healthy space for the Metis Nation's on-going existence within the Canadian federation.
